Sidney has twelve years of experience in the banking and financial services sector, having worked in all capacities spanning from data entry officer to branch manager. Before he established X-Cel Plus Micro-Credit Services, he led the Takoradi branch of Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans to win the best financial service provider (Savings and Loans) in the Western Region for the years 2016 and 2018 at the Western Regional Financial Excellence Awards. Sidney has extensive knowledge and expertise in the areas of credit management, microfinance, SME financing, merger and acquisitions, operations review, strategy development and implementation as well as organization redesign and financial management.

He is the Chairman for the Zone 3 of the Micro-Credit Association of Ghana with the mandate of overseeing micro-credit institutions in the Western, Central and Western North Regions of Ghana. He was nominated for the Youth in Banking and Finance Award 2022, organized by the Ghana Youth Awards and Finance Start-Up of the Year 2022 by Young Achievers Ghana. He was also nominated for Banking and Finance Start-Up of the Year 2021 Award by Ghana StartUp Awards.

He holds an MSc in Finance from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a B.A Hons Sociology and Information Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Project Management Institute – USA. He is a Certified Microfinance Practitioner. He is currently pursuing Chartered Banker certification and membership from the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana.

Sidney is a staunch Christian and believes personally that a man can do nothing except God be with him. He is the President of Gold Club Ministries, a ministry of business professionals and entrepreneurs in Gracefields Evangelistic Ministries
